Beauty Advisors (BAs) form a critical workforce in the consumer goods sector, yet their working conditions often remain under-examined. CGF and the HRDD Coalition commissioned an HRDD assessment of L’Oréal India’s Beauty Advisors to evaluate working conditions, transparency, legal compliance, and forced labour risks.

IRFT conducted a comprehensive HRDD assessment combining worker interviews, document reviews, and field observations. The assessment focused on contractual clarity, working hours, entitlements, occupational health and safety, and grievance mechanisms.

The assessment highlighted that addressing these gaps would not only improve worker dignity and safety but also strengthen business performance and contribute to broader efforts to eradicate forced labour.
